The beauty about the originals is they were so bad they couldn't have written a parking ticket.

Then up steps Lucy, Cameron and Drew and all of a sudden they are martial art experts, computer wiz's and can sky dive, water ski etc...

The newby's shattered the dream, for me anyway.

But good to look at, from a Scottish male point of view!

we can't compare past and now.Have you note that there are 20yrs ago (not to say ..more) people thought the same : gals practisin' and being martial arts experts ? (without forgettin' the first computers they ysed sometimes).."wow"!!
it makes me think to The Avengers and Diana Riggs 's way to be...nowadays it makes us smile!

they're good to see in a female point of view too.. :eyebrow:!

Good and fair point.

But you really have to compare the TV show to the movies, otherwise the latter is merely a Brand name that isn't supplying the goods you thought you were getting.

And also thje Avengers, Diana Rigg and Uma Thurman.... But at least the TV show and the movie stuck to much the same format that ther TV show had, utter rediculous plot, camp dialogue and naff action, but it worked.

But, still pleasant on the eyes, the new angels.

I don't wanna compare too much movies and tv shows. We lost and we lose too much by comparing! As you say,it works! (well..I think to Uma Thurman..it didn't work..!)
The fact the gals are well chosen...yep it makes all pleasant...and can sometimes make us forget origins...

I mostly agree at your comments about not wishing to compare tv & movies, but we do HAVE to.

If a movie comes out based on an oldish TV shoe - Charlie's Angels, Dukes of Hazard, The Avengers etc, then comparrisons have to be made with the originals, otherwise you should just make the same movie with a unique name and not promote it as a "Remake" based on the TV show.

I have said my piece.

of course comparisons must be..and even if I don't wanna compare.;of course I do..!
That's why we can say, think if the remake is good ,very different or bad!
but I try not to compare during the time I see the movie.Sometimes that's though!( but usually when I do.;it's cos of the simple fact the movie is..bad!!)

nerver seen the Dukes except on tv shows.Need I to? :merlot:

IMHO I would steer clear.

It has taken remakes to an all time low.
